It’s rare that one follows their gut when it comes to their professional life. Most people are governed by what makes most sense for them, and ignore the pull that draws them towards the direction of their real passion.
For an artist, that gut feeling is what makes the most sense, and following it is the only way to tap into their creativity.
Jewelry designer Holly Dyment embodies the very essence of being an artist. After a 25 year long successful career as an interior decorator, she followed her intuition and let it lead her to somewhere magical.
At least that’s how I feel about the beautiful pieces that she creates. With depictions of ravens, eyes, and skulls wearing bejewelled headdresses, her rings evoke a sense of dark whimsy that attracted me from the moment I laid eyes on them. Her jewels are set in gold and combine a variety of gemstones and diamonds, each stone carefully selected and arranged by Holly. They are all made by hand, the enamel work taking up to 3 days for that alone.
