RECAP: NYFW FALL 2014

I get that it can get a bit tedious when blog after blog shares the same images over and over and tries to tell you what to wear. That being said (god do I hate that saying!) I wouldn't be a very good fashion blogger if I ignored Fashion Week (Yes, CAPITAL LETTERS) altogether. So here I am, doing exactly what I complained about, using expressions that I don't like (and talking to myself in brackets).

You are free to like and wear what you want, but in case you're still interested in what a lunatic has to say about what designers showed for Fall 2014, read on.

BLACK-AND-GLAM

1. Black is the new black...or something. Black has always been the most stylish, fashionable and iconic colour (shade?) to wear. Forever and ever and always the end.  I really like the sheer fabrics seen at Pamella Roland, Tadashi Shoji and Vera Wang.

JEWEL-AND-HINT

2. Two trends for the price of one! Prabal Gurung, Cushnie et Ochs and Sass + Bide all showed a little skin and a lot of colour and I'm not complaining. Long hems and jewel tones make me think 'regal', but the flashes of skin are very rock'n'roll.

PERSONAL-BEST

3. It's my blog, so if I want to categorize my favourite runway looks as their own 'trend', I can. I'm the boss of me.* Libertine, Rodarte, Vera Wang- come next season, you will be mine.

*This kind of attitude totally explains why my sister told me that she NEEDS the You Bug Me tee...
