BAUBLES

Candy-grams

Do you know that old joke? How many Instagram posts does it take to sell out a technicolor enamel choker in two days?

Not that many, it turns out. Yes it helps to have all the stylish social media superstars on your side, but they aren't doing it for their health -these baubles are perfection! Roxanne Assoulin has done it again: created jewelry so covet-worthy that it sells out before you can decide if you need 3 or 5 of them.

I fell in love with them when I first laid eyes on them on Baja East's SS16 runway, and I was BEYOND excited to get my order in before they sold out (the 'Bloc Party' + 'Bit by Bit' chokers). If you weren't so lucky, you can pre-order them for a true Spring delivery here. At $75 a pop for the bracelets and $120 for the chokers, you won't even have to feel guilty about getting more than just one. Consider this heads up my Valentine's Day gift to you 😘

Let's Hear It for the Pearls

PEARLS

For me, it all started last year. My obsession with the nouveau pearls. I walked into The Webster Miami and in quick succession, I picked up these then this then this. Then I found myself in the gorgeous new Dior store at Holt Renfrew  and picked up these puppies.  Then I stopped by my local Zara and got this for good measure.

You would think that I seem to be all stocked up, and that I have all the variations of mismatched pearl jewelry that a girl could ever need.

But if you think that, than you do not know me at ALL, my friends. I'll take one of each of below, please.

It's officially #WSW here at lolaglitter.com and it sure is exciting! (Win Something Wednesday. What? You've never heard of it?!) The two yummy mummies of local brand Betty Ray (adorably named after their kiddos' middle names) have agreed to be very generous with you, my lovely readers. Now there are rules, but they are fun ones:

  1. You gotta follow @lolaglitter on Instagram
  2. You gotta follow @shopbettyray on Instagram
  3. You gotta post a pic of your high-low #fistparty. I made up a hashtag! Yay! But what does it mean? you ask. Good question. It means: show us how you mix your good jewelry with your equally-good-but-less-expensive jewelry. In picture format.
  4. Don't forget to use the hashtag #lolaglitterxbettyray so we can see your entry!

So now you know the rules, but what do you get out of it? Well the stakes are high, my friends. Very high indeed. If we pick you, you win:

  1. My favourite ring from their amazing online store. So we can be twinzz!
  2. $100 TO SPEND ON SHOPBETTYRAY.COM!!!!!!!!!

As my friend Larry would say: Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Now what are you waiting for? Go! Go! Go! The contest ends at midnight a week from today.
